PAUL LEE

Goodman Lee was born in 1907 in London, England. His son, Paul Lee, was born in 1938.  During the Blitz of London,

Paul and his mother were sent to the English countryside to escape the bombing.  During World War II, Goodman was

a Royal Air Force flight sergeant whose dates of service were from 1939 to 1945. Goodman had scars on his neck

from wounds received during the war, but would not speak of how he was injured.  The noise and the smells were

what Goodman told Paul he remembered about combat.  Paul said that there was any tension at home was always

lightened with humor by his father, who was his role model.

Goodman Lee died at the age of 88 in 1995.
